Do u guyz know any books that will help prepare me for common freshman courses in college like chem, calc, and english. I am gonna borrow Chemistry The Easy Way from the library so that should help me out with preparing/reviewing for chem. Do u know any others? Thanks! all answers are appreciated!
You do not need to get help before college and you don’t know what the professor will be teaching you. In fact, you might not need to take chem or calc at all in college and reading all of those books will be a waste of time. Also your professor might teach you one way of solving a problem but you know another way. In end go with your professor’s method. However, everyone needs to take English and all you need to do is write well. Just do your assignments and if you don’t understand something or want to improve talk to your professor, because they’re there to help you.

What you want to do, if indeed you do anything, is to review all the mathematics you already have taken. Do you remember trigonometry, and geometry, and things like how to find volumes and solve three simultaneous equations? You’ll be expected to know these.
Almost everyone who has trouble in technical courses is deficient in the coursework that came before, so that’s what you want to work on. The calculus concepts will take care of themselves as long as you know algebra, geometry, and trig. English will take care of itself if you can read and write well. The first part of chemistry is very much like a high-school physics course, where you learn about specific heats, densities, temperature scales, weights and measures, states of matter, and other non-chemical sorts of stuff. So if you’ve had any of this in high-school chemistry and physics, review it.
