The State of South Carolina Labor, Liscensing and Regulation Department requires that anyone who wants to get their Real Estate Liscense must take 60 hours (and be physically accounted for) at an approved location. You must then pass this class before qualifying to even sit for State exam. Once you pass the class test you will have a background check done to check your criminal record. You can go to the South Carolina LLR (Labor Licensing) website to see approved real estate school locations for each Real Estate Association in South Carolina. If you have your license from North Carolina or Georgia and would like one for South Carolina, these two states offer License Reciprocity. Good Luck....
References :
Great post! I completely understand your question. Money is hard for a lot of people right now since the enconomy is going down. My friend told me about this website of an organization that gives people up to $1500 towards their rent or mortgage. It's available in most areas, so I think you should check it out.

Hope this helps!
References :
Where can you take online Real Estate courses in South Carolina to get your sales license?
I'm wanting to get my real estate sales license and wanted to know if you can take the required 60 hours of courses in South Carolina just online instead of the classroom.
