Does anyone know of any programs that I could look into in order to fulfill my med. school prerequisites? I Am graduating this year and have only ascertained half of the courses needed to get into med school. How can I fulfill these after already having recieved my bachelors?

Most medical schools require science courses taken at a 4-year institution. At a minimum, take 1 year each of biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. To be safe, I'd also recommend one semester (4 semester units; I'm not sure how it works out in quarter units) of math with calculus, biochemistry (may overlap with o-chem), and 1-2 semesters of English with writing composition. Other classes that may look good for medical schools include anatomy & physiology, immunology, psychology, and sociology.

I suggest you go to the AAMC's list of medical schools, visit websites of a couple schools that seem interesting, and look at their requirements. Or at your career center, take a look at the MSAR (medical school admission requirements), the bible on admission stats.

As a footnote, majoring in the sciences is the easiest way to fulfill all the prerequisites for medical school and your degree requirements at the same time. But you can major in anything, as long as you fulfill all the reqs. I was a bioengineering major. In addition to the core prereqs, I took immunology, bioethics, statistics, and physical chemistry courses.

Good luck!
References :
accepted into medical school.

No courses are required, and plastic surgery is a circus without any real professional controls.
