i am going to be going to college full time i want to add another class but i was wondering if i add it would my bill go up or do the tuition stay the same price for full time? how does tuition work? also i got a pell grant and the ladie said i will have some money going to the book store how does that work ? is it in a cumputer or do i get a paper that i have to show the book store.
Tuition is usually charged per credit hour. When you reach a set number of credits, it is a flat fee (in most universities). You should go to the web-site of the college you are thinking of attending and check their tuition rates and policies.
The money going to the store will be on an account. You will probably use your student ID number or SS# when you are ready to check out, and they will access your account for the amount due.

If you are an undergrad then it does not matter. For example I believe 12 credits make you a fulltime student, if you take another class for 3 credits or 4 credits your tuition will stay the same at the full time student rate (as an undergrad).
I am a grad student at NYU and it’s a whole different story every additional class I add actually make my tuition goes up, b/c as a grad student you pay per credit. I am told this is the way most grad tuition goes.
As far as you getting a pell grant congratulations! That is well needed and you will not have to pay that back. That money will go directly to your school and say your tuition comes out to 25,000 and you covered your tuition but have money left over say 500.00 that money will be reimbursed to you, most likely in the form of a check! (Oh happy day). You deposit that money and take it to the bookstore and have fun whatever is left over use it to buy anything you want (if you are going away to college get some shower slippers for the shower) Hope this helps.
