PORTLAND, Ore. — College can cause a chronic case of sticker shock. In addition to skyrocketing tuition comes the cost of textbooks, which the U.S. Government Accountability Office says has risen twice as fast as inflation for two decades.

What college classes should I take before enlisting in the Army?

I only have my GED. I was told that in order to qualify for the army enlistment bonus, I must have 15 college credit hours under my belt. What college classes am I supposed to take? Just any classes?

How much financial aid can you borrow up to before you can be denied any more?

I owe almost $3500 in financial aid? I am thinking of applying to another college, but I am worried that I won’t get any financial aid since I already owe. Eventually, I will pay back my financial aid, but I was wondering is there a limit to the amount of financial aid you can receive?
