To be effective the quote must be original and pertinent to YOU. Unfortunately, it means you will have to choose it yourself.
Have you never heard a line that hit you where you live? One that is YOURS and not the common property of all your friends?
That’s the one you should use. And if it was a home ec teacher or someone you work with who said it, rather than Shakespeare or the Bible, so much the better.
Don’t mess the essay up by plagiarizing. Remember to mention who said it.
